What an honor it was to represent our Pacific Islander community in New York City. We were invited, as we have been many times before, to showcase our traditional practices. The groundbreaking for the new Rockefeller Oceanic wing at the museum, will feature new and improved, state of the art, showcasing, housing and safekeeping for some of our peoples prized taoga. It was a pleasure to have our languages and voices reverberate throughout the hall in ‘oli and ask a blessing of our tupuna.
