WE ARE

MAUNA KEA

When the kahea went out and the kupuna, who were eventually arrested, took their peaceful stand and made their front line along the entrance to the Mauna Kea access road, we made a commitment to stand with them for as long as they were up on the mauna. As natives and indigenous people, as humans, as hula practitioners, and as aloha aina, the time had come to truly take on the kuleana. No matter where, how tired, or how busy.
