EARTH DAY CELEBRATION POWWOW
Who knows how to celebrate our mother earth better than native and indigenous people? When we were asked to participate in this celebration, it was a no brainer. The dances we created for this event were some of the funnest to create. Costumes were all natural vegetation made from la’i melemele and oma’omao. What a beautiful combination. The dances were about the creation of the earth and how the vegetation began atop the freshly created ground. What a great opportunity to also mingle with our native cousins as well.
